Background of the Study
Economic empowerment programs aim to reduce poverty, enhance skills, and promote self-reliance among individuals and communities. Public relations (PR) plays a crucial role in these programs by creating awareness, engaging stakeholders, and building trust. In Gusau Local Government Area (LGA), Zamfara State, economic empowerment programs have been introduced to address unemployment, poverty, and social exclusion. Research by Ibrahim and Ahmed (2023) underscores that PR strategies such as media campaigns, community engagement, and stakeholder collaboration are essential for the success of these programs. This study investigates the role of PR in economic empowerment programs in Gusau LGA, focusing on its strategies, challenges, and impact.
